SPAIN HINTS AND TIPS

1. Alhambra visit:  This fabulous castle/alcazaba is a must.  Arrive the evening before you tour and stay in a nearby hotel.  We recommend the modest, but very comfortable and accommodating Hotel Albero, owned by “Pepe” Bautista.  E38 for a double room, internet access available.  Allow a whole day for the tour of Alhambra, and if you want, spend another night at the Albero, or if it is hot, check in to the Park Alhambra, just across the street, for e98 including breakfast buffet and swimming pool.
2. Villa Turistica:  for a nice change of pace and rest from the rigors of sightseeing, stay at this lovely, peaceful countryside complex of small villas, e67 includes breakfast.  Halfway between Granada and Cordoba, it makes a perfect stop.  Have a dinner at the Fuente in Alto Zagrilla.  Good food and modest prices.
